100 Chiriqui homes flooded, schools closed

SCHOOLS  were closed and at  least  100 houses  affected by flooding  when heavy rains  caused the Colorado River in Chiriqui   to overflow is banks on Monday October 3,

The homes are located in Manaca, Manacá Norte and El Futuru, in the Baru District.

The civil defense agency, Sinaproc quickly moved in along with  officials from the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Housing.

Baru Mayor Franklin Valdes said that assistance will be provided to those impacted.
