Volunteers lead beach clean up
THE 25TH ANNUAL NATIONAL Cleanup of Beaches, Rivers and Coastal Areas, brought out hundreds of volunteers across Panama on Sunday, September 25.
The activity started at 7 a.m. in different parts of Panama City and the interior.
The event is aimed at raising awareness about the need to better protect the environment.
September has also been marked as a month to raise awareness of the need to protect ocean resources.
The next planned activity is Friday September. 30 with an ocean forum organized by the Smithsonian Institute.
