Truck kills one, injures 10

A SPEEDING articulated truck killed one person and sent another 10 to hospital in the early hours of Friday  September 9

The accident  took place at 2.30 am, on the  Villa Catalina bridge in  Don Bosco,  Juan Diaz.

Witnesses reported that the truck driver was speeding  and when he reached the middle of the bridge that is on a hill could not see that traffic was stopped where work was in progress on Metro Line 2.

The National Traffic Operations Management reported that there was no previous collision as reported earlier in various media.

Modesto Justiniani 45, a sedan driver was kille .

Other members of his family were trapped in the wreckage and were rescued by firefighters and agents of the the 911 Emergency Management system.

The 10 people injured in the accident  were taken to different hospitals in the capital.
