New look Metro buses with TV, wifi
PANAMA’S CURRENT Mi-Buses will be getting a face lift to help them match up to the new prototype, complete with TV and wifi unveiled on Wednesday July 6.
Two new prototype buses that will soon circulate in the city as part of measures taken under the new diector to improve service.
The buses have internal and external changes said Alfonso Penedo, manager of the Metro Bus system.
T he new Vehicles will have televisions and wifi. In addition, they have changed the side liners and the door mechanism the platform for people with disabilities, has been modified and the driver’s seat and handrails have been changed
The buses “will be the model for the rehabilitation of the existing fleet,” said Penedo.
Operators of the vehicles, will have a new exclusive licenses type “J” . the Transit Authority (ATTT) has issued 40, and at least 140 are pending.
