More low cost flights to Colombia

 MORE LOW  cost flights to Colombia will begin on  September 5, when VivaColombia, a low-cost airline, introduces  flights between Panama and Cali

It will be the third route between the two countries  for  VivaColombia It already offers flights to Medellin and Bogota.

The company began operations in Panama in August 2014 and expects to have three weekly flights to the new destination. It flies out of the former Howard Air Force Base.

Juan Emilio Posada, president of VivaColombia, said that while an increase in the department tax from $15 to $34 has impacted fares, the airline still expects to grow in Panama.
