Week-long high waves alert
A HIGH WAVE alert lasting until June 17 has been issued by The National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC).
They are warning of 2.1 to 2.5 meters waves with a duration of 20 seconds on the Pacific Coast.
SINAPROC warns that the impact of the waves could be higher with high tides and the public are advised to take appropriate action.
Damage is expected in the sectors of Puerto Caimito, (Panama Oeste), Playa Leone (Panama Oeste), El Salado Aguadulce (Coclé), Puerto Armuelles (Chiriqu), Boca La Caja (Panama City), Isla Gonzalo Vásquez (Panama), among others near the Pacific coast areas.
