Senafront veteran 195th highway death

A 20 YEAR    veteran of  Panama’s National Border Service (SENAFRONT)  was killed on  Thursday May 27 on the  Arraiján- La Chorrera highway when the truck he was driving hit a  parked water truck at roadworks  near Chorrera.

The death of second lieutenant Leonardo Flores, 44, who was in the Senafront   Transport and Maintenance unit, brought the number of people killed on Panama highways so far this year to 195

Flores, was driving a Senafront   articulated truck when he collided with a tanker belonging to  Trans Caribbean Trading  whose employees were working  on the road. None of the workers were injured.

Meanwhile an 18-year-old university student is fighting for her life in a Penonome hospital after being dragged under a  bus she was boarding in when it was hit by a truck. in Rio Hato de Anton.
