Security Minister puts job on the line
AS SPECULATION builds over possible changes in Panama’s cabinet,
Security Minister, Rodolfo Aguilera made a surprise announcement on Friday April 29 that his office is available to the President, Juan Carlos Varela.
He said that he did not consider withdrawing from the ministry and considers that its management has been positive.
Varela has said that in the coming weeks he will evaluate changes that could be made in the cabinet.
“”The office is always available to the president, not because I say, but because the law stipulates. It is something he must decide” said Aguilero.
“I am willing to do what he decides, the president has discretion.”
The perception of most people who were surveyed by Dichter & Neira last month, consider that the security situation in Panama has remained unchanged during the current administration reports TVN..
