Inventory of Martinelli cases by May 2

 

PANAMA’S  chief magistrate Jose Ayu Prado, has promised  to make public an inventory of investigations into Panama’s former president, Ricardo Martinelli.

Ayu Prado told La Prensa on Wednesday  April 27: “We will publish an inventory of cases, since there are several media that have requested it . It will be  an objective inventory of how many cases there against the Central American Parliament deputy and former president “
He promised that the information will be ready  no later than  Monday [May 2] and added that the previous day  night they  had produced  a proposal, to which they  “have to make some adjustments in language, because we must respect the presumption of innocence  as established by the Criminal Procedure Code” he said.
So far, Martinelli has seven cases in the Supreme Court. He has not appeared in Panama  since hefledon January 28  2015.

The plenary of the Supreme Court ordered his provisional arrest on December 21 to appear before investigating Judge Geronimo Mejia in the case over the interception of communications by the National Security Council.
