Plans for 8-lane highway and fourth canal bridge
THE BIDDING process for the enlargement of the Pan-American Highway to eight lanes from the Bridge of the Americas to Arraiján will be conducted by the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) in May
In addition, the MOP will be delivering the order to proceed with the management for the construction of the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal.
The information was delivered on Monday April 25 by President Juan Carlos Varela during an activity in La Chorrera.
Both works are related to the construction of the third line of the Metro. The fourth bridge will cost $1 billion while the third line will cost $2.6 billion.
The MOP said the projects will benefit 500,000 people.
