Zika in Panama city as cases reach 91
ZIKA VIRUS cases in Panama climbed to 91 on Friday, February 26, and have been identified in the country’s capital, while Costa Rica has declared a state of emergency.
The majority of the cases are in GunaYalaa.T here are five in the Tocumen district
other cases have been reorted in Bella Vista The Summit, Paitilla San Francisco and Juan Diaz .
On February 16 the Cabinet declared a Zika health alert throughout the country. With alert, the Ministry gets an extraordinary credit of $10 million to increase staff dedicated to fighting the virus.
