WEATHER ALERT: High winds, waves and UV
HIGH WIND and UV radiation warnings were issued on Tuesday, Feb. 23 by weather forecasters with the Etesa electrical transmission company.
The winds are expected throughout the country, especially over the mountains of Coclé, Veraguas and Chiriquí.
Residents are urged to take the appropriate precautions due to the danger of falling trees, power lines and roofs.
The winds are also expected to cause heavy seas along the Panama coast, and a small craft advisory has been issued.
The agency has also issued a warning about continuing high level ultraviolet exposure due to the strength of the sun’s rays. The warning is extended throughout the dry season.
