7 murders in Panama west raise security alarms
THE NATIONAL Police reported on Tuesday, January 27, that a minor has been taken into custody in connection with the murder of a 41-year-old woman earlier this week at a gas station in Coronado.
According to police, the youth turned himself in voluntarily.
The arrest was confirmed by Police Director Omar Pinzón through his Twitter account.
TVN reports that after a manhunt in Gorgona and Coronado a suspect of French nationality was arrested. but no further details have been released.
In the operation he was ound at his residence in an area known as Malibu.
TVN says residents of Panama West are concerned by the wave of insecurity twith seven homicides so far this year.
