Sunken ship to be refloated

PLANS  are in hand to refloat the sunken vessel VMF Alita, which went down last week off the coast of Colón says the  Panama Canal Authority (ACP).

Yellow warning buoys have been placed around the shipwreck, which is just under the surface. It sank after another vessel collided with it while it was   at anchor. It had been waiting to be sold for scrap. The ACP said the wreck should not impact the operation of the Canal, but has warned vessels to stay clear. The Alita took nearly  a week to sink.
