Most wanted fugitive captured on Cinta Costera

A FUGITIVE on the run for six months after escaping from La Joyita Jail was captured on the Cinta Costera on Friday afternoon, January 15.

Cristian Pinzon Campbell, alias Omi, was linked to multiple  crimes including homicide and  was on the Panama most-wanted list with a $10,000 price on his head..

He was  captured while driving  a white car at the Paitilla end of rhe Cinta Costera near the building that once housed Extreme Planet,  . He was  carrying a Glock gun, ammunition, boots and a bullet proof vest.

After Pinzon’s arrest by National Police there were extended traffic hold ups around Multi Centro shopping center as authorities of the Deputy Attorney General and the National Police checked the car for nearly four hours.

Javier Castillo, chief operating officer of the National Police, said Campbell Pinzon was captured with another suspect and they had begun investigations to establish where he had been hiding, and searching for more  fugitives  from the jail break-out
