One dead 7 critically injured in pirate bus crash
A SPEEDING “pirate” bus led to the death of one person, and at least 18 injured, seven critically, on Thursday evening, December 31 at Costa Verde, Chorrera.
Eight ambulances, police and fire services rushed to the site and gave emergency aid to people scattered across the road.. The adult critically injured, were taken to Santo Hospital, and children to Hospital del Nino in Panama City, The rest were treated at the hospital Nicolas A. Solano of La Chorrera
The “Pirate” bus was heading to the capital city and carrying 15 people when it collided with the taxi, holding the driver and two minors..
According to information gathered by TVN News, the “Pirate” bus was traveling at “high speed” and collided with the taxi coming out of Costa Verde.
Some of the injured passengers claimed that the bus was racing with another vehicle.
It is not the first time a speeding “Pirate” bus has been involved in a traffic accident , says TVN
