Metro link to airport under study

A FEASIBILITY STUDY of connecting line 2 of the Metro with Tocumen International Airport is underway.
The $500,000 study by The Development Bank of Latin America is being financed with funds from the German government and the results should be ready during the second half of 2016
Roberto Roy, executive secretary of the Metro, confirmed that the study will not only measure the economic viability of the extension, but issues such as the environmental impact and the potential demand from users.
“The project will be a great service for both local travelers and tourists, who can visit the beautiful city of Panama with ease thanks to direct access,” Roy said.
The extension to the airport would be from the proposed station at the Technological University of Panama.
