Two dead one critically injured in Xmas transit accidents
CHRISTMAS provided no respite in the race towards an anticipated transit death total of over 400 in 2015.
On Thursday afternoon December 24 a 61-year-old-cyclist was hit by a truck in David, Chiriqui. He died soon after arriving at a local hospital.
On Christmas morning a taxi driver heading towards Montana Hato, lost control and crashed into a power pole on Colina de la Paz. (Arraiján) lying, losing the life conductor.
The two deaths brought the total transit fatalities for the year to 39
Meanwhile a woman hit by a car while using a pedestrian crossing in Tocumen is in critical condition in hospital. One car had stopped to allow her to cross but the second failed to give way.
