A Christmas reward after 39 years

CLARA ANAHI MARIANI stolen during  the Argentina dictatorship (1973-1986), when she was three months old  has been found after 39 years of intense search by  her grandmother Maria Chicha Mariani, a founder of Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, said the   Anahi Foundation which  she leads, on Thursday, December 24.

Clara Anahi Mariani, disappeared on November 24, 1976 aged  three months. She  became the 120th granddaughter identified.

“After a rigorous mechanism for determining the biological link has been established to link the probability of 99.9%,” said the Anahí Foundation, established by her grandmother in 1989 after leaving the presidency of Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo.

The case is emblematic and became known worldwide through the dissemination of some open letters Chicha Mariani. wrote to her granddaughter

A photo of  baby Clara Anahi was replicated in social networks, which have played a major role finding the now 39-year-old.

Her young parents, Daniel and Diana Teruggi Mariani, were “disappeared” and killed during the dictatorship that left about 30,000 “disappeared” in Argentina.

Children of the disappeared were passed to childless couples in the ruling dictatorship.
