Carols by Candlelight draws crowds and praise

THE 5TH CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT concert, organized by The CanadaPLUS Foundation, entertained over 2000 people on the Cinta Costera on Saturday August 12.
Over 1500, sitting on the perimeter of the amphitheater at Mirador del Pacifico enjoyed the seasonal music provided by five performing groups for free, while some 500 candle waving members of the audience, including 20 ambassadors sat on seats reserved for those who made donations to help fund the performance and contribute towards the Foundation’s aim of supporting Vision of Hope and Hospital Santo Tomas.
Stunning performances were provided by Coro Polifonico Universitario “A Viva Voz” directed by Wanda Catillo; Panama Coro De Opera directed by Paola Cuellar; King’s College, Directed by Vanessa Whay; The G Harmony Quartet Directed by Ricardo Gayle, and Coro JP2, Directed by Danny Gonzalez.
The finale came from the combined choirs of Coro JP2 and A Viva Voz who led the audience in the singing of Feliz Navidad.All of the groups donated their time and talents to the event
The show was MC’d with verve by Miroslava Herrera and Karla Delgado who also led the audience in candle waving as they joined in the singing of seasonal favorites.

Hands Across the Border
The Christmas tree that stood at the edge of the stage was provided by the Canadian Embassy and decorated by volunteers from the US Embassy.
The next morning the Foundation’s e mail was loaded with well deserved expressions of praise and thanks.
