Bus driver refused access to disabled passenger

A WOMAN metro bus driver who refused to transport a disabled person is facing sanctions after a video went viral on social networks and on TVN.

She is seen yelling at the man in a wheelchair. A passenger can be heard asking why  she wouldn’t let the disabled person aboard. TVN reported that she assaulted the passenger who filmed the incident and told him to get off the bus.

The Transit Authority (ATTT), on Wednesday December 2 asked, the Mi Bus company to take  corrective action against the driver

“The modernization of public passenger transport involves the inclusion of people with disabilities, who have the same rights as the rest of the people who use public transport daily to travel to various parts of the city to for  their daily work, “said a statement from the organization.

The ATTT said that the pay zones have adequate ramps for the  disabled and they will follow up.
