Copas fleet reaches 100 mark
THE COPA Airlines fleet hit the century mark on Friday, November 20, when it’s latest acquisition arrived in Panama from Boeing headquarters in Seattle, Washington.
The Boeing 737-800, with a capacity of 162 passengers, landed in Panama at 4 p.m.
According to Copa official Ahmad Reza Zamany, the 737-800 is the aircraft which best fits the needs of the airline.
In April – during the Summit of the Americas in Panama – Copa and Boeing signed a $6.6 billion agreement for the purchase of 61 additional planes, which will be the new Boeing 737 MAX model.
