CowardlyMartinelli urged to return

RICARDO MARTIELLI statements on CNN that President Juan Carlos Varela  was making Panama another Venezuela were rejected by 64% of viewers in  a CNN poll after the allegations were refuted on air by  a Panameñista deputy.

Adolfo Valderrama, Panameñista responded on Thursday, November 5  to allegations made by the former President and urged him to return home and leave cowardice behind.

He said Martinelli’s  assertions only do harm to the image of the country and “no one is above the law.”

‘It seems that loneliness and rejection is leading  Martinelli to speak in an offensive hateful and aggressive manner, “said Valderrama.

“’It seems more a self-criticism of the country when he was  president,- a country of blackmail, pressure and  corruption that  was going into a tailspin on the subject of democracy”’ he said.

He added “For me public life is service and not a business. Everyone who entered public life to get rich, must face justice.”

Before the interview Valderrama, the survey showed that over 70% of users supported the position of Martinelli.

The Minister of the Presidency, Alvaro Aleman , said Martinelli’s statements are ‘irrelevant’.

The PRD Francisco Sanchez Cardenas said that no matter what Martinellsays about  Varela, what bothers is the cynicism of this individual. “The lack of respect to the nation saying he is a holy innocent holy.

Martinelli said on CNN that in Panama the presumption of innocence is not respected, nor the legal certainty, and said President Varela sent to jail anyone who opposes his government.
