Escaped Mexican drug lord visited Panama

 AN 18 MONTH’S  investigation by Panama’s National Police in coordination with Mexico and Colombia, has revealed the involvement of  fugitive Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera,

During the investigation Panama authorities seized four tons of cocaine, more than half a million dollars five speed boats and 38 cars, and a Mafia  structure.

More than 50 people were processed by the justice system.

After confirming that Guzman, who, in July, escaped from a Mexican prison, was at least twice on Panamanian soil seven years ago, Commissioner Omar Pinzon Panama, Pinzon, said the networks of  ‘El Chapo’ and the  Sinaloa cartel  operated in the country.

“We identified Mexican drug cartels linked to the FARC,” he said

A Mexican married couple, linked to the cartel, involved in smuggling cocaine from South to North America,  lived in a luxurious area of ​​the Panamanian capital.

They  were extradited to Mexico where they are now in jail  said  Pinzon.
