Future of Albrook terminal up in the air
TOCUMEN S.A. has requested a study to assess the functionality of the Marcos. A. Gelabert Airport in Albrook over the next 40 years, although the labd has already been mooted as a route for a new highway to the fourth bridge over the Canal.

Tocumen Director Joseph Fidanque III indicated that the results of the study will be delivered at the beginning of 2016.
The company is also carrying out the creation of a master plan that will define the need for infrastructure at Tocumen International Airport through 2035, with the need for a third terminal at Tocumen Inteernational hig on the priority list.
Panamanian Aviation Association spokeman Jaime Fábrega said that this move would be a negative for the country.
The move is being considered to use the space in Albrook occupied by the airport for operations related to the Panama Canal and for the access road to the proposed fourth bridge over the Canal
