15 security guards killed for their weapons

A 51-YEAR-OLD security guard who tried to fight off attackers, became another casualty who life was exchanged for a pistol, on Friday Oct, 23.

Williams Rodriguez, guarding the entrance to a store in the Puerto Escondido neighborhood of Colon when assailants tried to snatch his  gun.

Rodriguez, 51, allegedly fought and struggled with his attackers and was shot and stabbed.

The death of Rodriguez,  brings Atlantic Coast  homicides in 2015 to 40.

An 42 year-old  security guard was killed on Aug. 6 in Cristobal Colon by thieves  sealing construction material from the Canal Expansion site.
