Panama-Pacifico emergency landing
A PLANE that hit an animal during takeoff from Isla Contadora on Friday September 11 had to make an emergency landing at the Panama Pacifico International Airport at the former Howard Air Force base
The Civil Aviation Authority reported that the pilot has been treated for minor injuries. The impact damaged the landing gear, but the plane was able to land.
The aircraft involved in the incident was a twin-engine plane with a registration number HP-2500.
The authority ordered the perimeter fence around the Contadora airport reinforced earlier this year. The incident remains under investigation.
