Traffic death toll reaches 246

THE CARNAGE on Panamas highways continued on the weekend bringing the total number of people killed in traffic incidents so far to 246, with hundreds more injured many of them seriously.

Two people were seriously injured when a coaster bus and a truck collided head on in El Llano, Chepo, and in Cañita n the same region a speeding driver narrowly escaped death when he lost control of his car and crashed sideways into a tree. The car split in two and the driver suffered only scratches.
