A COPA AIRLINES flight from Panama to Monterrey (Mexico) on Sunday morning, August 2, was forced to return to the Tocumen International Airport after the captain reported the slight presence of smoke in the cabin.
A company statement said that once at the airport technicians ruled out the presence of fire in the cabin, finding only the smell of oil. To avoid further delays in the flight a change of aircraft was authorized.
“Copa Airlines confirmed that this incident did not put at risk the control or flight safety.” said the statement.
