Oops – 2 months free ride for Corridor motorcyclists.
IF YOU don’t have a Panapass affixed to your car you can no longer travel on Panama’s two “corridors – but motorcyclists get a free past until August 21 while authorities figure out how to integrate them into the system which requires a responder sticker on windshields.
A total of 320,141 users of the North and South corridors are currently enrolled in the panapass system, which is the only way car drivers can use the highways.
The National Highway Company, S.A. (ENA) and the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) said in a press release: “In due time, the motorcycle users will be told how they are going to be integrated to the Panapass System”.
Installation centers located in via Israel (in front of the Atlapa Convention Center) and at the roundabout at Albrook, will remain open on Monday to Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm and Sundays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
