Dialogue replacing road blockage

THE PAN-AMERICAN highway in Tole, Chiriqui re-opened on Thursday, June 18,as members of the September 22 Movement traveled to Panama City to dialogue with the government and the April 10 movement planned to meet with the Governor of Chiriqui, Hugo Mendez.

Both groups are opposed to the Barro Blanco Hydro Electric Project, which is 95% complete, and have been blocking the highwat and entrance to the site.
