THE NEW AMADOR Convention center, due for delivery in September 2014 is another of Martinelli era much trumpeted additions to Panama’s facilities that remains unfinished but there are hopes that a decision will be made before the end of the month on a company to finish the project, according to Tourism Authority (ATP) Administrator.Jesus Sierra.
Work stopped in January when the group initially hired to do the job ran into financial restructuring difficulties.
Three companies are in the running for thecompletion of the $193.7 million project: Brazil’s Norberto Odebrecht; Mexican Ingenieros Civiles Asociados (ICA) and China Construction Co, says La Estrella.
