Police crack down on retail drug pushers
PANAMA’S NATIONAL Police (ON) have captured about 228 drug dealers in different parts of the country in nine months and, so far this year, have seized 7,144 kilos of drugs, including heroin, cocaine and marijuana.
The offenders were engaged in the retail sale of narcotics, cocaine and marijuana marketed near schools, beaches, churches and parks.
Police chief, Omar Pinzon, said “pressure is being exerted against sellers of illegal substances who are affecting the youth of the country”
According to the investigations of the Public Prosecutor (MP) and the National Anti-Drug Directorate (DNA), in some cases criminals are minors to sell drugs who move from one point to another by taxi.
