Downpour causes city wide floods, traffic chaos

HEAVY rain accompanied by lightning, on Tuesday, November 24 caused flooding and traffic jams in several parts of Panama city.

Houses were inundated and vehicles were left stranded on flooded streets. Fallen trees were also reported in some areas.
Power was cut off in Bethania, where traffic lights stopped working.
Houses were flooded in El Ingenio, Vía Argentina, Río Abajo, Chanis, Cerro Viento and San Miguelito.
