Christmas prelude: A 3000 strong carols chorus

YOUR OPPORTUNITY  to join Panama’s largest choir to celebrate Christmas in traditional style, comes next week at The 4th Annual Carols by Candlelight celebration on the Cinta Costera on Saturday December 6 .

You will be entertained by seven choirs, ranging from 20 to 40 singers apiece but  the biggest choral  presentation will come from the audience which is encouraged to join in the singing of  a selected seasonal favorite at the end of each presentation. Last year 3,000 people participated.

Reserved seats are selling out fast and if you are hoping to be seated among  over 20 ambassadors and Panamanian VIPs, in the Gold section, you will need to get to the phone quickly.

The Gold seats, which come with a VIP souvenir  52-hour LED wax candle, helping to raise funds   for Santo Tomas Hospital cost $25.Souvenir gold candleOther prime viewing  seats  are available at $20 and $15,  including a candle.

 If you  want to stand, or bring your own stool to the perimeter  of the amphitheater at Mirador Del Pacifico (at the fish market end of  Cinta Costera) you can obtain candles at $5 and $10  along with an illustrated  sing-along  bi-lingual carols book.

The two hour concert, orrganized by the CanadaPLus Club, will feature seven multi-denominational choirs.
