Parties unite to defeat CD candidate
THE long and controversial National Assembly career of Carlos Afu, could see closure on November 16 at a by-lection brought about by a successful appeal against his May 4 victory in Los Santos.
The appeal, upheld by the Electoral Tribunal was over the spending of over $4 million of government (taxpayer) money on his campaign.
Ayu, is currently a member of Ricardo Martinelli’s Democratic Change party, although “change” has often figured in his political career, and he has not been afraid to jump ship when the winds of power have veered.
