Funeral of young woman visitor follows unsolved mystery

HUNDREDS of people attended the funeral in Holland of the young Dutch woman Lisanne Froon, who disappeared with a friend last April on the The Pianist path in Boquete, Chiriqui after coming to Panama to do social work. The mystery of their disappearance remains unsolved. 

The funeral, according to the daily newspaper De Telegraaf, were held October 31 at the Church of the Holy Cross, located in the town of Amersfoort, in the Dutch province of Utrecht.
The speakers, among whom were her nieces and nephews, recalled the life of the 22-year-old
Some remains of Froon and her friend Kris Kremers were found by natives on the banks of the River Culubre, Alto Romero, Changuinola, Bocas del Toro, in June and August .
The Dutch newspaper says in its coverage that it is not known exactly what happened to Froon and Kremers, and whether they were victims of a crime.
They arrived in Panama on March 29 this year to learn Spanish and do social work. They left their lodging on April and were never seen again despite massive searches including teams from Holland with specially trained search and rescue dogs
