Bus crash sends 30 to hospital

A COLLISION between a bus on the Tole-David route and a panel truck in  San Felix  ​​ in  the east of Chiriqui province  on Friday afternoon, October 17,   sent 30 people to hospital.

Both drivers were trapped in the wreckage caused by the impact and firefighters from San Félix and David rushed to the scene with the “jaws of life“ to free them

The injured were taken to hospital in San Felix, but due to their injuries were transferred by the 911 Emegency Service and private ambulances to the emergency room of the Rafael Hernández Regional Hospital in David, where they are under medical observation  reports El Siglo.

Three  people  Wilfredo Sanchez, 25, and Dorila Otero, 55, and a child, suffered serious injuries, according to a police source.
