Second body found, one missing, in boating accident
THE BODY of a drowned boater, one of two brothers who were swept overboard in the Gulf of Chiriquí on Sunday. July 28, has been found. A third man was also drowned when their boat went aground near Boca Brava Island in the District of San Lorenzo.
A SInaproc (Civil assistance agency) helicopter that had been searching for the brothers Eynar Araúz and Roberto Araúz since the boating accident spotted the body on Monday.
It was recovered and transported to David airport. The search, for the remaining missing man. continues with five vessels and three helicopters participating.
The accident happened when the boat Appaloosa, with 14 crew members on board, went aground. One person drowned while the two brothers were swept away. The boat had sailed from the Port of Pedregal.
