Speeding. pirate-bus kills 2, injures 16

A SPEEDING PIRATE BUS, driven by a 19-year-old and traveling from Chorrera to Panama killed two passengers and sent 16 to hospital on Sunday, July 27.
Authorities of the Traffic Operations Division of the National Police and prosecutors began an investigation after the accident. A preliminary report indicates that the driver lost control while speeding, ran off the road on a curve and hit a tree.

A medical centers in the capital two people were hospitalized in serious condition in Panama and a child of nine, was taken to the Children’s Hospital.
The health status of two passengers transferred by ambulance from the National Civil Protection System and three more by the Fire Department of Panama, whose health status is unknown reports La Prensa.
Ten of the injured were sent to Santo Tomas Hospital and five to a Social Security Hospital.
Police reported that the crashed vehicle, belonged to Sociedad de Propietarios de Transporte de La Chorrera, and was driven by Yamir Esquivel, 19, who was rescued from the wreckage.
The busito was headed to the capital city and had gone from a terminal on Avenida Libertador in La Chorrera., The incident took place on the Trans-America Highway at  Loma Cová,  the scene of frquent accidents.,
