More direct flights to Europes capitals

PANAMA’S place as the flight hub of Latin America is being increasingly recognized by European airlines and more direct flights are being introduced by the major carriers.

Last week, thePortuguese airlineTAP, introduced  four direct flights a week to Lisbon, the country’s capital.

They are scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and started on July 1.
The airline will use Airbus 330 aircraft with entertainment screens for every passenger traveling in economy class.

MeanwhileIBERIA   which in June began operating six direct flight a week to the Spanish capital, Madrid, increased the flights to seven days a week at the beginning of July which raises the number of seats available to 2000 a week on its Madrid-Panama City route.
The German airline, Lufthansa has announced it will be ready to start operating direct flights to Panama City starting January 2015.

Negotiations are going behind the scenes for the introduction of direct flights to London, on British Airways.

KLM offers daily direct flights to Amsterdam,and its partner, Air France, will operate five weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Panama City from October 27   an addition of two weekly flights to its current schedule.
