Dutch tracking team and 12 dogs join missing tourist search

click to enlargeA TOTAL of 18 specialists and twelve trained dogs arrived in Panama from Holland on Sunday May 25,to aid in the search for two young Dutch tourists, , missing since l April 1 in Boquete. Chiriqui.

The chief prosecutor of Chiriqui, Bethsaida Pitti, said at a press conference at the Tocumen International Airport, the specialists and the dogs will be transferred immediately to Boquete, tourist district bordering  Costa Rica , to start on Tuesday tracking Lissanne Foon and Kris Kremers , 21 and 20. Reports the EFE news agency.

"We will continue looking for hints and  clues to help find the young women," said Pitti. They arrived in to Boquete March 29 to fulfill social work with children and were last seen April 1 , when they entered the path “The Pianist”
Pitti explained that Dutch trained dogs were taken immediately to the National Air Service base adjacent to the airport for shipment to Boquete.
The European rescue brigade will join the special forces of the border police and the National Civil Protection System 9SINAPROC).
Panamanian authorities and conducted in April, an initial 12 day search over more than 900 square kilometers of tropical forest Boquete and have maintained a permanent monitoring of the area.
