Varela names first three ministers

VICE PRESIDENT-ELECT of Panama,Isabel Saint Malo de Alvarado, will become Panama’s Foreign Minister on July when the new administration takes office.

Milton Henriquez, president of the Popular Party, which was part of the People First winning alliance in the elections , will be the new Minister of Government .

President-elect of Juan Carlos Varela, announced the appointments on People First Channel 2 on Sunday, May 11. that Dulcidio Guardia is appointed Minister of Economy and Finance .

Varela said St Malo will also support social dialogues that have to do .with health and education. Henriquez will handle issues such as local governments and decentralization. He will also lead the issue of constitutional reforms , to recover the work done at the time by the notables.

The first formal meeting of government transition between the team of President -elect and the outgoing President Martinelli will take place tomorrow, Monday May 12, in the Presidency of the Republic.
