Extension of Metro subway 45% complete

THE WORK to extend line one of the Metro from Los Andes to San Isidro is 45 percent complete, says Metro official Marcia Arosemena.

The second stage of line one, which will cost $211.6 million,which includes the building of 2.1 kilometers of elevated track and the construction of a station.

It also includes a passage under Corredor Norteand work that will allow the future extension of the project.
Current work is now focused on relocating a 52-inch water pipe and utility lines.
