Direct contracts, gateway to corruption

WHILE Panama has benefited from public works political system, democracy and the institutions are on the way to decay.

The statements were made at the Annual Conference of Executives (CADE 2014).

Of particular concern was the abuse of direct contracting which has involved hundreds of millions of dollars and is "an opportunity for corruption"
Delegates called called for a revolution of information to monitor the officials those involved.
