Vice presidential candidate to appear before Electoral Tribunal

PRD vice presidential candidate Gerardo Solís will be called before the Tribunal Electoral (TE) in the coming days to make a statement in a complaint made against him.

The complaint was filed by Supreme Court Justice Harry Díaz and his brother, Minister of Health Javier Díaz, for slander.

TE Judge Eduardo Valdés Escoffery said a decision on the complaint would be made once Solís makes his statement.

The complaint was filed in early August after statements from Solís on a morning talk show regarding their connection to the sale of state property.
Solís, a former TE judge, also questioned Diaz's qualifications to be a judge.
