Presidents discretional hand outs top all before

PRESIDENT Ricardo Martinelli’s discretional spending budget of $47.2 million dollars exceeds that of the total handed out by his three predecessors.

After La Prensa published the latest amount of the discretionary fund allocated to the Ministry of the Presidency, Martinelli said Friday, February 7 that he uses the money “to help the people."

"I wish I had $ 400 million to give the people of Panama," Martinelli said during an event at Jones Susana hospital.
The President said there are "petty" people who do not wish “Panama to succeed."
