Electoral prosecutor on election danger list

PANAMA’s electoral prosecutor, is included in an Electoral Tribunal (ET) list of factors that are a "risk or threat" to the electoral process leading up to the elections on May 4.

Little or no action by Eduardo Penaloza in response to allegations of the use of state resources for political campaigning is why ET Judge Eduardo Valdés Escoffery mentioned he is listed as a risk factor for the election.

Penaloza, " is being targeted because there are no obvious investigates allegations of use of state resources," said Valdés Escoffery in a discussion with members of the security groups reports La Prensa
