Firemen rescue 18 from crushed vehicles

FIREMEN were called to rescue about 18 people trapped in vehicles after a slab of concrete weighing several tons fell onto parked vehicle in a Panama shopping plaza on Wednesday December 18.

The incident happened during renovationsto the Hogar y Salud store at the Los Angeles Plaza located in El Dorado.

Firefighters reported that they had to break the slab to allow the evacuation of those who were trapped.
Therewere no injuries but several people showed signs of emotional stress.
Four vehicles and a motorcycle were severely damage.

An Investigation into the cause of the collapse is underway.
