PRD Vice president wants critic to work for presidential candidate

INFIGHTING in the PRD took a new turn on Tuesday, December 17, when its vice president said that former party leader Mitchell Doens should respect the decision of the base of the party that chose Juan Carlos Navarro as its presidential candidate.

Rogelio Paredes said that Navarro won with 95 percent of the vote, and Doens must respect the decision of the vast majority of the group.

Doens has been openly critical of Navarro, even suggesting that he should drop out of the race.
Paredes said that Doens' criticisms are "cries in the wind" and that he should be working to help Navarro win the election, not standing in his way.
Paredes added that it isn't too late for Doens to make amends with the candidate reported La Prensa
